ODIBO
DONATE
Free educational content already exists online — the real barrier for many Nigerians and other Africans is access: high data costs and slow internet, especially in rural areas. This project closes that gap directly.
Odibo began compiling donated online courses and distributing them to Basic Training participants on physical flash drives — no data plan or fast connection required to learn. Early session notes describe handing out physical drives as a matter of course, growing the library one donated course at a time.
The Class of 2023 was given the option to evaluate the courses they’d received and submit a report on them — real assignments that became part of the Basic Training curriculum. Several of the A.I. Tools Reports on the Reports page grew directly out of this evaluation work. See real samples on Reports →
In this same phase, Training Partner Megavox Foundation began hosting a growing share of the library on its own server — uploading courses to a centralized location alongside the flash drives already in circulation.
Odibo wants to move beyond compiling and hosting existing courses to creating its own — specifically in Nigerian vernacular languages like Pidgin English, Igbo, and Yoruba. This next phase hasn’t started yet, but it’s the direction the project is heading.
